As a proud person who does not like nor crave ice cream, going to ice cream shops is not fun for me.
Having said that solo serves a different kind of "ice cream". For instance the Latte flavor that I ordered, was literally a cup of latte that they poured on a frozen counter and start shaving it upon cooling. It was cool to see how it all came together.
Solo serves something different than your typical ice cream, which is why appeals to people like myself that don't even like ice cream! -

My ice cream came out hard and difficult to eat. I didn't think this was $7 quality which is why it's 2 stars. We watched the gal make the ice cream; she must have been new because she had someone else supervise her/watching over her shoulder and giving her pointers. Because she worked slowly, the ice cream got too cold and hard instead of soft and creamy.
The concept is fun but poor stars execution. -

We stopped by in the evening for some ice cream after a dinner. It was definitely fun to watch our ice cream made.
The restaurant offers good selection of flavors and free unlimited toppings. I had Thai special, which tasted exactly like the Thai iced tea I usually order at the Thai restaurants. Some people in our group had coffee ice cream, which was absolutely incredible - a pure flavor of the freshly brewed coffee. Overall all of the ice creams we got (group of 6 people) were delicious.
Very reasonable price at $3.99 for a small ice cream ($6.99 for the large is also quite reasonable).
Excellent service with a smile.
Definitely recommended. -

I can't believe that I hadn't tried rolled ice cream until tonite. What had I been waiting for? Wow. How fun to watch it prepared and how yummy it is to taste. At first you are thinking that there is no way it will be creamy but as soon as it hits your lips, you are proven wrong.
This place offers unlimited toppings which is a good idea because $6.50 for an 8oz ice cream seems a bit much, but when you look at all the things you can add on top, it works out to be a pretty decent price for all the work that goes into it.
I had the Cap'n Crunch and it was awesome. The friendly ice cream maker suggested peanut butter on top and it was even more awesome.
I can't wait to go back and try the matcha and the peanut butter and jelly. Both sound great!! -

I really like this place because:
1. The rolled ice creams are tasty with a variety of unique flavors - family favs include thai tea and green tea
2. The toppings are unlimited! not weighed per ounce like most yogurt shops with lots to choose from like fresh fruit, popping pearls, and even roasted marshmallow on a stick!
3. Service always friendly
4. Seating comfortable and spacious
5. Great quality and value
5 Stars!
